Nandi Governor Stephen Sang’s case has been suspended to January 23, 2020, according to magistrate Beryl Omollo pending the hearing and determination of a suit he filed before High court.
Lawyer representing Sang said that they had already receive orders that stayed the proceeding in the matter before the court.
“We obtained order in the High Court staying proceeding in this matter” said Yego Sang’s Lawyer.
Sang has been charged with abuse of public office, malicious damage to property and incitement to violence.
Governor sang with others willfully destroyed tea bushes valued at Sh 2 million at kibwari tea estate.
He had denied all the charges with the court releasing him on a sh1 million bond.
