The disease which kills all warm blooded animals except birds is symptomised by swelling in the neck, blood oozing from the nose and mouth and bloating in the dead animals.

On handling the dead animal in case of an attack, Dr. Biama noted that they should exercise caution as a poor handling may lead to death. The dead animals should be burnt to ashes on close supervision of a livestock or verterinary officer.
