Buzeki plans for Uasin Gishu Farmers once elected.

Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich has promised to begin the process of direct sourcing of fertilisers from the manufacturers should he be elected in the August 9 polls.

Buzeki made the promise to the Uasin Gishu farmers whereby he said the solutions to the perennial farm inputs and products marketing are right on the ballot adding that it is possible since he tried it before.

“As from September this year, we will begin the process of direct sourcing of Uasin Gishu fertilizers from the manufacturers. We did it in 2019 as private citizens and I strongly believe we can do it much better in September with your mandate,” Buzeki stated

He promised to address the issue of farm inputs since it is the main challenge faced by farmers which has caused some farmers to shift to other farming adding that the leaders have not sufficiently addressed the issue of farm inputs.

” I know you have gone back to your farms with a lot of struggle. Let this be the last year of agony. Go vote to end cyclic and endemic challenges. In the next few years, every Sub County will be having its mega store. The store will be used early in the year to distribute fertilizers and towards the end of the year to collect your grains for bulk marketing,” he said.

Buzeki who is vying for the second time for the governor’s sit after missing it in 2017, is running as an independent candidate. He will be competing with Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja who will be vying on United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket.
