A section of leaders from Baringo county have welcomed the shoot to Kill Order issued by Rift valley Regional Commissioner George Natembea in a bid to combat insecurity.
They said that the Goverment should provid more funds to fuel the police vehicles used to patrol the volatile areas.
Led by Baringo north MP William Cheptumo, leaders said that police were only Given 450 Litres of fuel for a month which is fueled in Eldoret or Nakuru .
Cheptumo added that the amount of liters given to the police is not enough since half of the fuel is consumed in the Journey forcing them to use only 200 litres while patroling.
On the other hand, nominated Mca Francis Kubai said that 200 families have been forced to fled their homes due to insecurity in areas of Baringo North and South.
“Shoot to kill order will help stop insecurity menace in the county ” said Kubai.
